Vitale Bramani founded VIBRAM in 1937 to create functional outsoles, driven by a tragic mountaineering accident involving his companions. Seeking to infuse all necessary functions into footwear outsoles, VIBRAM makes ceaseless efforts in developing new products. Furthermore, the Italian company introduced its first finished product brand, FiveFingers, and proved by its own example that a component manufacturer can be a brand itself.
