POPEYE 2026 – October Issue 954: This Is London (POPEYE(ポパイ) 2026年 10月号 [THIS IS LONDON ぼくたちが気になるロンドンのこと。]) is the October 2026 issue of Japanese magazine POPEYE, published by Magazine House and dedicated to London.

The issue opens by acknowledging the obvious: with high prices and a weak yen, travelling abroad hardly seems sensible. But stories from friends in London eventually convinced the editorial team that what you find on your phone is no substitute for going there to see, hear and touch things for yourself. A former member of the editorial team also shares a little magazine history: the very first issue of POPEYE could have focused on London rather than California.

The content is divided between the fashion feature “On My Way, London!” and “NOW HERE LONDON”, a tour of the city in 36 stops: a shop open only on Saturdays, a skatepark housed in former public baths, a shirtmaker in Piccadilly Arcade, galleries full of young people and a sandwich shop. Along the way, it also explores Arsenal, cricket, pubs, charity shops, a chess club, the flower market, the Thames, the English breakfast, antiques markets, workwear, youth culture and Margaret Howell.
