Cosmopolite - F. Ecochard

COSMOPOLITE reveals fragments of Paris—not the Paris of postcards, but the Paris of Parisians. Drawing on seven years of work in the capital, the photographer reconnects with the great tradition of colour street photography to tell the story of his Paris: human and cosmopolitan.

FABIEN ECOCHARD: “The Paris I experience is vibrant, cosmopolitan and sometimes chaotic. I try to challenge clichés and an occasionally overly nostalgic view of the capital, seeking instead to capture the energy and complexity of a global city in constant motion (…)”

Forewords by photographer Jean-Christophe Béchet and Melody Gygax, curator at Magnum Photos and a collaborator of Alex Webb, among others.
