Baueneinflugzeug - Romain Villate

With Baueneinflugzeug, Romain Villate signs a book of subtly beautiful film photographs. The German title ("build a plane") comes from a childhood memory: small polystyrene planes he used to assemble, which he found again years later as a stock shipped from Germany. "I received hundreds and shared them with my friends. That became a video, Build a plane, the starting point of the project."

This intimate journey takes us through landscapes both familiar and mysterious, guided by diptychs, silences and white pauses that become metaphors for an inner voyage.
